You must ensure that the details provided are correct and complete so we may process your booking.

Payment: we require payment to be made in full at the time of the booking, unless special payment terms have been agreed between us. If either the deposit, interim or final balance payment is overdue, this may be considered breach of contract between us, and Really Rural Ltd reserves the right to treat the agreement as cancelled by the client(s) and charge the appropriate amount. We accept no liability or responsibility for any errors in making payments to us by any method.

Cancellations & Variations to Activity Programme by Really Rural Ltd
Should an activity/course have to be cancelled by Really Rural Ltd due to unforeseen circumstances such as government restrictions, staff illness, extreme weather (high winds, thunder, heavy snowfall), it will be re-arranged for another day.  No refunds will be given in the event that you decide to cancel a booking, for whatever reason, and not accept our alternative dates. Really Rural Ltd reserves the right to alter a planned programme or cancel an activity/course due to the unreasonable behaviour by the Client (includes non arrival, very late arrival or suspected of being under the influence of alcohol /drugs ). Really Rural Ltd may consider other reasons. In such instances any payment by the Client will be forfeited, without further recourse to, or liability upon Really Rural Ltd.

Cancellation by the Client
If the booking is cancelled by the client (for any reason) the following cancellation charges will arise.

  • 6 weeks or less before the event /activity – 100% of costs payable – no refunds.
  • More than 6 weeks before the event/activity – we will issue vouchers or arrange a transfer to another day, activity or course of the same value. Where this is not possible the deposit is forfeited.  An administration fee of £15 will be charged.

Friends or family are able to attend in your place. You need to provide us with 24 hour notification of the change, along with the name/s, contact number & email, if applicable dietary requirements.

In the event of illness preventing attendance – we will require documentary evidence in order to apply the cancellation policy with discretion.

The client acknowledges that it is reasonable for such penalties to arise, given the need for Really Rural Ltd to make preparations for activities/events.

Times for sessions are fixed so please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated start time. If one or more members of a group are late it may not be possible to incorporate them into the activity once instruction has started.

There must be 1 adult present for every 6 children (excluding Really Rural Ltd staff).  For other children’s activities please discuss with Really Rural Ltd.

Activities go ahead unless the weather is deemed unsafe: e.g. storms, lightning, snow, torrential rain. Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities and the weather (see FAQs). In the event that Really Rural Ltd needs to cancel we will attempt to contact the activity organiser provided that we have the correct contact details.

The Client should inform all attending the activity that appropriate clothing and footwear for activities in the countryside/woods are essential.   Really Rural Ltd recommends:-

  • Sturdy boots, wellies or old trainers: NOT sandals
  • Warm, tough clothing that you won’t mind getting a bit dirty – especially for bushcraft events!
  • A waterproof jacket or anorak if rain is at all likely
  • Warm hat & gloves
  • In the summer we recommend people bring sun cream, hats and water to drink.
  • Hand sanitiser

Really Rural Ltd is not liable for any losses or damage to personal clothing, footwear or effects.

Please Note: People may be prevented from taking part in activities/events/courses if Really Rural Ltd considers them to be inappropriately dressed for the weather/conditions/activity.

Please Note: If you refuse to wear the provided safety equipment Really Rural Ltd cannot be held liable for any injury to yourself.

Really Rural Ltd want your activity/event/course to be an enjoyable experience. It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the good behaviour of all attending. Unruly and out of control behaviour may lead to the cancellation of the activity with Really Rural Ltd, or the removal of the individual(s) from the activity. In such cases a refund will not be given. Really Rural Ltd will not be held liable or responsible for the actions of individuals. We ask politely that you’re on-time for your activity, we are not able to wait or extend the time of your activity session to cover late arrivals. We are fully booked most days, and have to be fair to both our staff and people who have the activity session following yours.

Clients should be aware of any special medical needs of those attending the activity (e.g. asthma inhalers, epipens etc); and that you – the Client – are able to cater adequately for those needs. Really Rural Ltd staff carry a basic 1st Aid kit on all activities. We would also suggest that if people have cuts and grazes on exposed skin, to have them covered.
